Ontario Announces Commitment to Funding One Vision One Voice

At The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa, we recognize the diversity of the communities we serve and we are committed to strengthening families through equitable and inclusive service delivery.

On September 8, 2020, the Ontario government announced their commitment to funding phase 3 of One Vision, One Voice, a program to further support African Canadian and Black children, youth and families involved in child welfare. Specifically, $650,000 will be allocated to the program, dedicated to equitable care and better outcomes, as well as addressing the overrepresentation of African Canadian and Black children and youth in Ontario’s child welfare system.
