Please note: Placement opportunities are determined based on department needs and availabilities, which fluctuate throughout the year.
Placement Experience
Placement students are screened and matched with an appropriate field supervisor or mentor who introduces them to the philosophy and nature of child welfare work. Students are guided through the role performed by their mentor as well as encouraged to seek out shadowing opportunities from other teams within the organization to better understand how each area contributes to the overall operations of the organization.
Student placements are generally four to eight months in duration and occur on a quarterly basis, beginning in January, May and September.
