The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services has launched its first 5-year legislative review of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA), and your input can make a difference.
This review presents a unique opportunity to reflect on the effectiveness of the CYFSA and ensure it continues to promote the best interests, protection and wellbeing of the children and youth in our community. The experiences and perspectives of individuals who have received services covered under the CYFSA are essential in shaping the future of this legislation.
Your feedback will be collected through an anonymous online survey where you can share your thoughts the following six (6) focus areas of the review:
- Child and youth rights
- First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples
- Equity and anti-racism
- Prevention and community-based care
- Quality services
- Accountability
