Orange Shirt Day 2020

Today our Agency wears orange in honour of all the children who survived the Indian Residential Schools, as well as those who didn’t. We recognize Orange Shirt Day as an opportunity to reflect upon our ongoing commitment towards reconciliation.

About Orange Shirt Day

Orange Shirt Day began in 2013 and is recognized annually on September 30. To learn more about this important day, visit www.orangeshirtday.org.

Today’s Events

This morning, our Agency is hosting an Elder Support Circle for our staff led by Elder Barbara Hill to join together to honour and mourn with our Indigenous communities.

There are a variety of other events for all ages happening across the province today, including a ‘Create Your Own Orange Shirt’ event. Click here for more information.
